Pete the Cat and the Surprise Teacher Worksheets 1 Set 4 pages

The Pete The Cat story, Pete the Cat and the Surprise Teacher by James Dean, is a favorite in many kindergarten classrooms. There are 2 sets of comprehension questions to check for understanding (2 pages for each set), whether the children can really understand the story book and enhance creativity as well as critical thinking.  

 The first set is designed for higher age of children (responding by writing a sentence or a list). This set could be used for above level children in kdg. An additional version of this first set includes MORE lines for responding. This set could be used for higher performing children who are responding with longer sentences.

 The second set is designed for lower level of kindergarten children (teacher reads questions aloud).  Children will respond by drawing, coloring and/or labeling.
